Right, we're off to Dublin in a couple of weeks for the millionth time and as we always see family whilst there we never actually get to see the tourist side of it. Practically everyone I know who has been for a break there absolutely loves it and I really need to see what they see cos I'm really not keen at all.

So, what should we do and see?

Thanks :)

The Book of Kells
Wander the streets around Temple Bar
Avoid 'the oldest pub in Dublin' which is ***
Kilmainham Jail
The Guinness Factory
The National Museum of Ireland
The open top tour bus connects most of these

Thanks Mosaic, they're the kind of things I'm looking for.
free Guinness after you've done the factory tour, in a bar way up high with a good view.

If you've got family maybe they can give you ideas that normal tourists don't hear about?
Phoenix Park - biggest municipal park in Europe, even has its own zoo and racecourse
The Jameson's Whisky Tour - free whisky cocktails :-)
St Stephen's Green - feed the ducks
O'Connell Street, Grafton Street, Henry Street - for the shopping
Trinity College (for, as Mosaic mentions, the Book of Kells)
Dublin Castle
Ballsbridge (Oscar Wilde's former abode)
and any half-decent pub!
