Can't speak for houses phones etc, but I think the cars are sold at car supermarkets which are usually just off the motorways.
To add. One of my neighbours rang We buy any car, and after telling them the condition, mileage etc they offered £5,500. When he took it to them they offered £3,000. He didn't sell. I think they hope the seller is desperate for money. He wasn't, just at an age where he was about to give up driving.
Yes I have heard similar stories Jeza about them taking the pee. If something sounds too good to be true it probably is. WBAC have to make money somehow. My car is buggered, I'll get naff all trade in and don't want the hassle of countless tyre-kickers wasting my time if I put it in the small ads, so when my E-Class arrives the Vectra will be off to the auctions.
Webuyanycar sell cars onto registered car dealers, either directly or through 'closed' auctions (where the general public aren't allowed).

Firms buying houses 'instantly' offer well below the market value (in the hope that the vendor is desperate for a quick sale) and then place the houses back on the open market, often by auction.

Firms dealing in mobile phones send older models (bought for a pound or so) for recycling, so that they get paid for the precious metals within them. Other models are probably offered through eBay shops.

Those buying CDs (typically for around 20p or 30p) often sell them on, under the 'Replay' label, through High Street retailers such as . . .

its probably just a coincidence but music magpie and zoverstocks are neighbours... still I don't care I get loads of cd's and DVDs for 1p plus p&p
For 1p? How is that possible???
we buy any car are crap !
A mate of mine had an old car he wanted rid of and they offered £50 which he was going to accept. Then he realised that there was a £49.95 sale fee so he would have got 5p
Got better price on trade in.
