Just returned from a lovely weekend. Saturday to see a Chorus Line, a very lively show but blooming uncomfortable seats.

Dinner at a restaurant under Tower Bridge, alcohol free of course, why oh why did I have to give it up for Lent?

And then up the Shard today. Fabulous views of London and beyond, alas the beyonds were conspicuous by their absence, hidden by the cloud. We were able to see as far as Wembley Stadium though. Thoroughly recommend the experience, but be warned, the official photos are an absolute rip off, almost as expensive as going up the shard. We declined the offer!

You're the first person I've come across who's actually been up the Shard - which level did you go to?

Think it was about level 68, anyway, as high as you could get. Worth every penny of the £25.
One of my sons who lives in London is really into architecture and he did the Shard tour - he loved it too
It wouldn't do for me, I'm not a heights person, but it must be a wonderful experience.

You can appreciate the experience without looking down box tops, I'm not overly keen on heights either, but oddly enough, this didn't worry me in the slightest. Well worth it.
I've been up the Shard, too.

Yes, you get out at level 68, and then you can walk up to ... is it 72?
