Have you ever flown to Perth Australia?

What airline would you go with, and what is the most reasonable price?

We will be going in march next year and have to start the ball rolling this week.

Where did you stop for a stop over? Thanks Abers x

Where are you flying from?
Question Author
from gatwick ummmm x (6th March --two of us)
Hi puss. My Sis flies every year from NZ to the UK and always uses this airline. Link below... I don't know what their pricing is like

http://www.emirates.com/au/english/index.aspx
I used to arrange international travel for about 300 people, and the most popular to Oz was Emirates and Quantas
Emirates is a good choice. It'll take about seven hours to Dubai, an hour or so in transit and then around another ten hours to Perth.
You`ll have more choice if you go from LHR. If you`re stopping over, SIN or somewhere in the Far East will be a lot more interesting than Dubai. It`s eons since I did LHR-SIN-PER but I think that`s a good way to go. Once you get to SIN, you`ve broken the back of the journey. It`s a relatively short hop from there to PER.

My friend goes to Aussie every year, and she recommends Emirates, but she goes business class, costs £4000 door to door.(Too expensive)

Are all Emirate flights business class?
Quantas sounds a really good company too.

£912 if you book by 3/12 and depart between 16/1 and 20/3
I've just been to skyscanner and put in that date to Perth. It's saying £905 per person with Emirates. here's a Link puss

Yes per person Mark
Question Author
many thanks for repeating again 237sj.

our flight must be from Gatwick, as its more local for us, easy travel.

i flew yrs ago but cannot remember what airline we went with.
We stopped in Qualalumpa (cant spell)

Emerites has been recommended to us , sounds very poplular .
The £912 is from Gatwick.
Question Author
By the looks of it, all Emerite flights are roughly £850 return each person.
Dont think I can get anything cheaper than that.
Question Author
Cant thank you all enough, your all very helpfull.

Once again our lovely Abers come to the rescue.

Will update when i find out what we decide to do x
Are you stopping overnight en route? It can be worth going to a decent travel agent to see what they can do. Airlines work on the premise that the first port of call for passengers is their website so that will be the most expensive. The airlines sell tickets to travel agents at a discount and the travel agent can pass that on to the passenger. They usually have to sell you something else to qualify being able to sell the ticket at that rate (ie a night`s hotel accommodation or some car hire) It might be worth checking that out but don`t leave it to long as the price will go up considerable, the closer you get to departure.
We went January 2010, flew with Qantas via Hong Kong, booked through Trailfinders, very reasonable and reliable.
Question Author
We wont need night stop over as we hope to get there as fast as we can. lol.

My heads whirling as there are so many suggestions.
My Niece In Perth is enquiring too and she has come up with £850 with Emirates flights. (1,300 dollars)
Wont sleep tonight as my minds going round in circles. Cheers again Abers x
