Not that I know of. There are sites that will book ferries for you - but they nearly always have exactly the same offers as the ferry companies themselves

eg http://www.aferry.co.uk/

I find that Dunkerque to Dover is cheaper than Calais to Dover (and in the other direction of course).
Ferry from where to where?

Hi Jomifl, Was looking at Portsmouth to Santander, over £200, thought if they have space they could sell cheap at last minute.
Look on some of the camping sites eg Keycamp or Eurocamp and pick the cheapest accommodation (tent) and see if you can get a deal on the ferries. You don't have to use the tent. A friend of ours, who worked as rep, said that quite often people did not turn up for their accommodation. They just took advantage of the bulk fares that these companies had negotiated with the ferry companies. Probably works for shorter routes out of season, don't know about the longer routes. You also have the advantage of somewhere to stop if you need to break your journey. Worth a look.
Ferry tariffs vary enormously by the hour, day, and season. The cheapest are usually midweek daytime crossings. Portsmouth to Santander doesn't have many options as it is not very frequent and a cabin is probably compulsory. Usually a cheap crossing ends in a long expensive drive. At this end of the season you may get one a bit cheaperbut now is when the retirees go on holiday, there won't be any big discounts until October. When do you want to go and for how long?

Hi Jomifl, I was thinking October/November, have friends in Portugal, was thinking could cut out driving France, but ferry too expensive to Spain.
We went through France to Spain by motorail. but I can't remember the costs................
I've driven to Portugal a few times, it is a long haul. you could do it in 2 days from Cherbourg/Le Havre if you have a relief driver. It might be cheaper to fly and hire a car there. At that time of the year it might work out cheaper especially for 1 person. Including the ferry crossing the total travel time would be 6 days and would cost about £500 for fuel and hotels. It is an interesting experience though and the countryside is spectacular, especially the Picos de Europe and the Pyrenees and that is just a part of it.
Easyjet do return flights to Faro from Gatwick in Oct/.Nov for £60 (plus extras)
