I was done 5 months ago for being in possesion of a class A drug. It was a very minimal amount and i was only given a 120 fine. I want to go to L.A in april and am ready to book but am worried incase i cant get into the country because of this. Is there anyway that the American Authorities will know about this as i enter the US i.e when they scan my passport, take a fingerprint and photo etc. does that come up? thanks

You really need to get a visa from the American Embassy before you book. See
http://london.usembassy.gov/cons_new/visa/niv/ arrests_and_convictions.html
as its a class A drug offence, the us authorities could well be informed of this, but not sure.
In view of the type of offence and its recency (if that's a word) a visa may well be refused.
