Milan: Looking for hotel or B&B

I'm looking for reasonably-priced, comfortable accommodation in Milan in May with easy access by tram or metro to the city centre. Any recommendations (preferably from first-hand experience)?

Quite frankly, it is our experience that accommodation in Italy tends to be more expensive than in the UK, but that is not to say reasonable prices cannot be found. We stay with friends in Milan so I cannot suggest anything that we have experience of. If you google accommodation in Milan you will get a host of choices, including low cost or burget options. Using map searches in conjunction with the primary information should give you useful results, and you can always contact individual places that then come out of the process to get any additional information.

Thanks very much for your reply. We have done that at great length - I was trying to shortcut that process!

Anyway, we have now found what appears to be a reasonable hotel and have booked it (Mirage, Viale Certosa).
