Anyone know why in the latest series Rebecca does not touch the books at all? She gets the seller to show her what she wants to see but does not touch them herself. What's going on? She always used to. Can't find anything on the net about it.

I like Pawn Stars but it is staged.  It is filmed when the shop is closed and all the people in the background browsing are  extras, due to the strict privacy laws of that US State.

You will never see anyone wanting to pawn an item either - again due to privacy laws, staged or not.

Still it is entertaining and can be informative.  

My guess is the production company lawyers advised her not to handle the books.

I know she used to wear gloves to handle the books but apparently this is not now recommended practice.  Maybe she prefers the 'look without touching' method.
