Answerbank is 'up the creek' it didn't give me a chance to enter' Further Details'.

I was going to say that if senility involves discovering that 'Pop' musicians are as good or even better in some respects than the classical artists which I always thought were superior, then I am a now a happy chappie at 85 years of age

At the moment, I can't hear enough of John Denver and Glen Campbell. OK their personal lives may not have been perfect, but whose really is ?

Hans.
If you are referring to tonight's concert - it wouldn't have worked with older more classical artistes that the largely young audience didn't know.
Here You Go Hans.

I am listening to 'Comfortably Numb', so I am with you, Hans.
Hans, not being rude but why do you find it necessary to keep mentioning your age?
Did you see the TV program last night on the Beatles album 'Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club' it was a revelation of the complexity of the Beatles music and the influence on them by classical composers. A really good program, I did not realise just how much they were guided by the classics or how complex their music was, they really were up there with the likes of Mozart .
( who wrote his first full symphony at the age of 8)
Ten past seven.
The sergeant pepper programme was fantastic - it really provided an insight into the inventiveness of their music.

Agree with Toorak, we're watching th Manchester Concert and enjoying it so far ;o)

Oops, dropped an E ^^
probably has a different meaning today to be fair.
:-) really???
A good scotch, a Lagavulin 16 years, Hans, should see you intellectually straight again - only one additive, mind you, and that is more Lagavulin.

Thanks Togo... One of my favourites......For those who don' know what it is about.....The song describes a soldier waiting to go into battle in Vietnam who thinks of the woman he loves and his home town of Galveston, Texas.

@ladybirder....I think it is twice that I have mentioned my age in AB.
It's my guess that you are a lot younger than me. Tell us how old you are, I am sure a lot of ABers would be interested..

Hans.
