Hi, Myself and my partner are due to fly to the Domincan Republic (Puerto Plata) next week (03rd October 2005) and are wondering if anyone can tell us what the weather is like at this time of year? Also does anyone know any good websites to check the weather forcast? Your help is greatly appreciated.

It'll be typrically tropical... 90 dergees F plus for days with high humidity and afternoon thunderstorms.  Keep in mind this is the mid to late tropical storm/hurricane season.

The Dominican Republic and Puerto Plata has sunny weather all year long, same as all the island. Due to world climate changes, rain seasons have shifted. Visit GKM for more information, they are a villa rentals and real estate agency in the North Coast but they also offer tourist information.
