Samsung Kies problems

Hi . Ive just got a Samsung Apollo and installed Samsung Kies onto my laptop however as soon as this was completed I lost my wireless connection ??? Other laptops without Kies work fine and as soon as I unistalled it I got the wireless back .
Is there something I can do to prevent this ? Any help/ideas greatly appreciated :o)
