I have a rechargable bike light which says it will take a 5v DC charger 300mah. If I plug in a 5v DC 1500mah charger from my ps3 will that cause any grief?

A cheap Chinese charger from the pound shop might .. but a PS3 one should be ok .. especially as it's just recharging cells. Extreme voltage or poor current limiting might shorten the life .. but I can't see that happening with that charger.
Try it!
Is the device for the PS3 actually a charger or is it a power supply?

Thanks for the replies.

It's a power supply, not a charger sorry, the charger circuit is built in to the light.
