I keep getting this error message whilst trying to connect to gawab.com my email provider, I am constantly being asked for my password, connection is intermitant, sometimes I get connection and others this error. I 've done a ping test and all is ok. I tried Regcure but all it wanted to do was sell me it's product. Help please

Could be your virus checker interfering with the receipt of emails.

Could be a corrupt pop3uidl.dbx file.

Thanks for reply, NazNomad, have read your suggestion, no further forward unfortunately. Have done a system restore to last week when all was ok, but sometimes I can connect straight to gawab and other times get asked for password, gmail picks up almost straight away but another email I have tends to be slow. Cannot understand why the problem is intermitant, it's driving me round the bend !!!!

Gawab's servers have been playing up intermittently for a few days. They're likely to continue doing so until Hosni Mubarak steps aside, because Gawab is an Egyptian service and the authorities have tried to switch off internet access across the country.

Somewhat strangely though, I've had no problems logging on to my Gawab accounts via their web interface which, for me, has been working normally:
