Is it possible to convert a telephone with a USA fitting to be used in a UK BT socket?

If so, how???

You can certainly buy an adapter to convert the US plug (an RJ11) on the end of the US phone lead to a standard BT plug.

I'm not too up on how the US phone system works so can't say if it will work properly - you may have problems with incoming calls not ringing.

Strictly speaking it is not allowed to connect anything which is not UK type approved to be connected to the UK phone network. But I'll not comment on that !
