I bought MS Office this year,as a legitimate student and I 'm wondering if I can install the discs on the future coming Christmas pressie Laptop?
The software is only for personal use and it seems only fair that I be able to use my bought software on my ( to come!) laptop.
What is the legal position if I install said software?
Any advice much appreciated.
Cheers

it's home and student edition, so yes you can as long as it's only on one computer.
Most Home and Student licences are actually for up to 3 computers - Microsoft recognising that there are often more than one computer in a household.
