We finally got out today. Took ages to get to the supermarket. Got everything we wanted plus a bit more. We are now warm and cosy with a large cuba libra. Snow and ice please go away.

It's horrible. My car did not thaw one tiny bit today...
My car (and the whole street) is still under snow......I haven't been out for 13 days as well.
I could have cried when I got home from the school run this afternoon as my hands hurt so much.
oh sherrard that's awful. I remember years ago waiting for a bus that didn't turn up, in freezing conditions, and crying my eyes out at the bus stop.
I hate that sherrard when your hands go from one extreme to the other in a matter of seconds, its so painful, i had it this evening, freezing cold hands from riding to work and then walk into the boiling hot kitchen, i was nearly screaming with pain :-(
I had gloves on and a really warm coat but they just got so cold from pushing the buggy (which is a laugh on ice). I think the schools should break up now and the kids (and their parents) can all just stay in the warm.
We are getting new windows tomorrow..
Apparently, you're not allowed to mention how long you've been stuck for... :-(
Well done -know the feeling -im still not released as such but if I take my life in my hands I can walk:)
Why not Naz?

Craft. You like me are in West Yorkshire. I live in a cul-de-sac. Nothing is gritted. If you can get out of it we are still not on the main road. Get to the main road which is about half a mile it is ok. I know that doesn't sound far, but with snow and ice it feels like a million miles.
I chatted to my cousin on messenger today, they run a horse riding B&B up over Blackshaw and they've been snowed in for nearly 2 weeks, they're used to it though but they're livestocl is suffering. They're using more fuel and feed to keep the animals in than is usual for this time of year.
lol mic we're all pensioners down here so none of the paths are cleared. I think the spirit of the blitz may soon show its head.

I am one of the youngest here craft. I am 61 Retired through choice. Of the 8 property's the ages are 97 91 90 88 and the rest won't reveal their age.
I think I'm the youngest of the 'bungalow dwellers'...........most of them are in their 80's.
Lets hope that my husband helps those in Yorkshire when your leccy goes off -after all that what he drove for 10hrs today through hazardous conditions in Scotland for -he didnt have to as he had annual leave but old habits die hard with some people.
Hello dris.....I'll make him a cuppa :-)
I wouldn't trust Craft with my OH....I'm sure 'cuppa' is code for something else :-)
I'd give Ginger a cuppa and a jammy dodger.
Lol.....I'm guessing what 'jammy dodger' is code for....I think I know...I'm sure I know..!
