vCards & Outlook 2007

Good afternoon,

I am currently having a fight with Outlook2007.

How can I import a large batch of vCards?

Dragging and dropping produces 1300 new emails... which isn't quite what I am after. The import facility only allows a single card to be imported at a time.

The solution has to be simple enough for me to then go on and explain to others.

Thanks in advance,

You can drag and drop them into the contact page in outlook (not the mail page, that's why you are getting all the new mails open)

The problem will be that it will open up each vcard as it adds them to the address book, so you'll end up with 1300 contacts details open! I'd have a go at waiting until it's finished opening them all and then do a quick restart of the computer rather than manually closing 1300 windows!
p.s.

Stickying (sp?) your own questions is surely an abuse of position :)

Hi Chuck,

It's a "perk".

Yeah, it wasn't new emails when I double-checked, it was new contacts. I have found the solution however - I can export from the card-scanning program into outlook directly!

From there, to distribute, I can export to excel.

Ta!
