What, I wonder, is the function of the Alt Gr key on my computer keyboard ?

where is it? I haven't got one. I've got SysRq though.
..oh oops, I have found it. Never noticed it before, usually covered by my typing hand!
To get the 3rd symbol (e.g.Euro sign on 4$€)
I can only see 2 keys with a third symbol - € and ¦ - is that it?
No - try it! There's loads - æ ¢ ð ħ ł « ß ł ← They're just not drawn on UK keys.
how do you know where to look for them, though? I'm currently limited to ♥ and ♫!

I must confess that I don't know what half the keys do. There are plenty of strange symbols.
