I have had the BT home hub for a couple of years now and absolutely no trouble, it is connected to my apple imac and is the same room but on the wireless connection. For some unknown reason this evening it will not connect wirelessly and I am having to use the ethernet cable which is not really practical. I can find it on the wireless list and enter the relevant password but it does not like it. I think it updated this afternoon and ever since then I have had a problem.

Anyone experienced the same problem, if so, any suggestions?

Thanks

No riptide, our home hub is fine tonight. It does have its moments, on occasions we lose the internet connection but usually it resets after a couple of minutes. We are however not wireless, we are plugged into the wall.
Sorry riptide but mine is working fine. Mind you I haven't received any updates so hope I don't in case it happens to me.
pull the power from the hub, plug it in. wait a couple of minutes and try reconnecting.
Agree chuck, we now and again switch off, count to three, then switch on again. Longer than that, it thinks it's had a power cut and we end up phoning India....

Thanks all for your comments, I have tried turning it off and turning on, tried various passwords as it is showing on the wireless network menu on my apple mac, but it does not like any of them. I had it on a couple of hours ago and it was fine so why it suddenly will not work I have not a clue!!!! Seems to me somehow or another a setting has got lost. Suppose I am going to have to ring up those people at BT to see if I can get an answer, would help if they were in this country because I spend most of my time trying to understand what they are saying. Still suppose they are only trying to help.
is it a white or black home hub?
I do find them helpful riptide, the guy who rang me back last time spent 45 minutes putting me back to rights.

It is black home hub. It guess I had better try and find the original installation disc in case BT want me to reset it all and start again. Very annoying has worked perfectly for 2 years.

Thanks all
One of the things they suggested to me (and I am no techy) was to put a different connecting doofit in the back of the hub. I was impressed that I knew where the box of original doofits was (he said "it would have come with the original kit" - yeah right, easier said than done in our house)
I think you can ring 150 and get through to the call centre (in India), and they'll go through various steps with you. they can access your computer remotely, change the channels (??) etc..

Sorry to be ignorant boxtops but what is a "doofit". Because I start moaning will get my old laptop out in the morning to make sure it is not the apple imac that is playing up.

Thanks
