laptop audio problem

Morning,

i've managed to connect my laptop to the tv and the picture is fine, but I can't get any sound through the tv.

I've connected the audio cable, tried to make sense of the tv and laptop audio settings but can't get any sound.

Ive got a Sony tv & Dell laptop.

Any advice?

Open the audio panel and make sure the mixer is selected to "what you hear" and the sliders turned up. Have a fiddle in there. That is likely where the problem is.
