Have you ever given out your password and/or do these mails ask you to give your password/card details?

There are a lot of scams that involve asking for your details so that unscrupulous people can then abuse your account.

Before cancelling your account, I would check that the items have been charged to it, as I suspect that it is a scam.

If you go to the help page at http://www.paypal.com/uk/ you will find a "Contact Us" link should there really be a problem.

Paypal and Ebay seem to be getting hammered by someone at the moment. If you send the e mails you are getting to [email protected] or [email protected] they will let you know whether they are genuine or not and open a dialogue with you to sort the problem out. Hope this helps.

I agree with the above, I routinely get an email suppoosedly from ebay telling me my account is about to be suspended as someone is trying to fraudulently use my account.

If you follow the  link it gives you it askes you to put in your personal details!!!

I report them all to the Spoof Email address on the Ebay website.
