I am having my cd r replaced by a dual layer dvd rw, will i still be able to record music on a cdr through the dvd please?

Most definately.I purchased an external Dual Layer DVDRW a couple of months ago, but I still have not managed to find anywhere (other than online) where I can purchase and dual layer discs.
