5.15 this morning just before catching the bus for work I came across an old gentlemen in a confused state. Anyway, got his address off him and phone number, put some money in his pocket & called him a cab, explained the situation to the taxi man & he took care of it. Rang later on in the day to see if he'd got home safely & he'd had a police escort home! Rang the number he'd given me and spoke to his daughter, apparently he gets glycemic & consequently gets muddled? On his own 5.15 & it was freezing!

That is a sad reflection indeed Sachs. If the chap had been in a car breaking the speed limit by 5 m.p.h. they would probably have fallen over themselves to "help" him. Still, on the brighter side - imagine the chap feeling better and trying to describe the good samaritan to his daughter - "they were wearing very funny trousers.........."
