The most wonderful full-page ad was placed today in our local paper by a well-known estate agent:

Under a picture of three wind turbines, it says

Home Grown Power!
As a result of a listing error on eBay, and following an over-order by the Thanet Array, we have secured instructions to offer on behalf of our clients a clutch of three wind turbines suitable for domestic use (subject to planning consent).
At just 150 ft high, thesse unobtrusive yet functional turbines will enhance your garden landscape and may even be adapted to keep your lawn, hedge and neighbours trimmed. They will provide an envitable talking point, no matter where they are erected. Dependent upon wind conditions, free electricity may also be achievable. It is recommended that an electrician be consulted before connecting to your property.
Best cash bids are invited and must be submitted by no later than 12.00pm on 1st April 2010 to any of our offices. No correspondence will be entered into. Buyer collects.
NB Prospective purchasers are also advised that in Conservation Area there may often be resistance to erections of this scalae. Please submit your bid in a sealed envelope for the attention of our consultant, Olaf Pirlo.
