I have a hitachi 8.1 camera When I go to take a picture I look through the lens and I see the picture fade in front of me. The camera is fully charged so what is wrong?

I find with my Kodak Z915 that the display brightness suddenly diminishes to a fraction of its normal level after just a few seconds (presumably to save battery power), and that feature cannot be turned off. A touch on the shutter restores the brightness but it doesn't half get annoying having to keep doing that.

I suspect (but don't know) that it's common, including your camera.
Which model is it ?
Is there a preview time setting? Mine is set to 5 seconds. After a picture is taken, it's shown for 5 seconds on the viewing screen. The time can be adjusted. Have a look at the settings.
