because I am building a simple web site but I do not want the pictures that I put on to be able
to be copied so how do go about doing this ?

There are several ways to do it.

But as it says on everything you will read about this sort of thing it's not really worth doing as there are ways round it, people can still do a screen capture or simply retrieve the pic from their temporary internet cache.

Much better to either watermark the pics or only put low quality versions online.

Thanks Chuck I think it would be easier to watermark the photo's as you say (if I can
find out how to do that) just as a matter of interest how do you do a ''Screen Capture''
press the print screen key on the keyboard (might be labeled something like prt sc)

pressing on it's own captures the whole screen, pressing it while holding alt down captures the current window only.

you can then just paste it as a picture into any picture editor (paint will do)
oh and

Remember to watermark copies of the pictures, not the originals as the watermark can not be removed.

Sorry Chuck I must be missing something, I just tried pressing alt & prt scr and nothing
happens so does it save it to somewhere or am I doing something wrong ?
it copies it to the clipboard (a temporary storage area) you can then paste it into something like paint.

so now click on start > all programs > accessories > paint, once it has loaded press CTRL + v (or select paste on the edit menu) to paste the screenshot, you can then save it.

Thanks Chuck I always wondered how to do that !!
