If I changed my ISP but wanted to keep the same router what data needs to be changed in the router

Probably only your ADSL username and password.

If you do need to change anything else it will only be with the 'ADSL' properties settings on the router. Your new ISP will be able to tell you these but it will most probably be with:

ADSL:- Encapsulation / Modulation / Authentication.
You very probably can't, most ADSL providers lock their routers to their own service so they can't be used with another provider.

Yes CF the changeover happened this morning and with my old router would not connect. Thankfully I asked them for a new router and after changing the cables worked first time.
