Having just watched the "Heroes Awards" tonight, yes I am humbled at the courage of our men and women...who wouldn't be???
We can sit here in the comfort and warmth of own homes but these guys are what makes Britain great !!!

I don't feel sorry for them, and they won;t appreciate being considered heroes either, but we support them in many ways don;t we? I don;t like being made to feel guilty for having individual concerns in my life.

yes i did which gave much needed and appreciated real financial support to those injured in conflict. and your point no kno is????

I didn't say I felt sorry for them dot, these guys who were interviewed would never have wanted that !
It just made me immensely proud of the different people who got an award, especially the Mothers
you sit watching a show on TV and think you are being supportive???? If that makes YOU feel better fine, practically it does nowt.

Watching them on GMTV, they aren`t exaclty lacking any home comforts, unlike the real heroes in WW1 and WW2

and I would say, they don't have 'home comforts' either, I realise the WW2 and indeed WW1 people were in great discomfort, I would these guys are too, sand in every orifice, sorry I don't mean to make light of it
