Does a Sky box have to be connected by a scart lead?

Does anyone produce a wireless device so the TV can be the other side of the room?

it has to be connected by either SCART or the RF (aerial) outputs to something, otherwise you won't see a lot!

Yes you can get wireless video senders.

Some will also transmit the remote control signal back to the box, others don't. I've not used any of the ones listed above so I suggest reading the customer reviews for each item.
You can use an Wireless AV Sender if the Sky Box is not HD.
Although if you have a wirless router you may get interference.
you can use a wireless AV sender if the box IS hd too.

You either use the non-HD outputs on the box (the scart) and use a normal sender as per my link above.

or you can send the HD signal and full 5.1 surround audio wireless if you don't mind taking a second mortgage out!

It's my neighbour who has a TV on Freeview at the moment, but the signal keeps breaking up.

She has a redundant Sky box in the loft (not HD), and a dish outside, but the lead comes in on the opposite wall.
I'd go for a long length of coax round the skirting board if possible rather than a video sender.
