Why do I have to scroll across to read the whole of the AnswerBank web page?

Can one alter anything so that it isn't wide-screen?

Thank you.

Seems fine to me. Do you have your screen resolution set extremely low?
I have the same thing as you AOG, I can't see the latest posts box without scrolling across.
Question Author
What should it be and how do you alter it, please.
haveyou maximised the window? little square next to the red box top right hand side
Question Author
That is the problem it is too maximised.
To check the screen resolution right click anywhere on you desktop, select properties at the bottom of the pop up nand go to settings. may have play around as it will also change text size etc
On a 17'' monitor I have 1024x768.
I have this effect slightly as well. I have 1024x780 and with the image maximised it is about 2mm wider than my screen. This gives a horizontal scrollbar with a tiny amount of moment. It has always been on this version of AB
The AB page is 1,000 pixels wide. Allowing for the border round Internet Explorer, plus the vertical scrollbar on the right, it requires a minimum screen width of 1,028 pixels (which is a pretty stupid figure, as is doesn't correlate to anything at all!). So it just won't quite fit on a 1024x768 screen, although you can, of course use Ctrl and the minus key on the numeric pad to zoom out.

Mine shows up at 800X600 and I ca only change it to 1024X768, but although it solves the problem, it makes the text very small.

Can anyone now fix this, thank you very much for all your help.
If you are still on 800x600, you need to upgrade your monitor. Very few sites will be designed for this low resolution.
Hi AOG- try pressing the F11 key, it will give you full screen mode in the browser.

Haggisdj Good tip that,

But as I have said my resolution is now 1024X768, but my text is now much smaller and faint.

Can anyone please help?
Well, you can't have it both ways AOG. Either it's small and fits, or it's big and it don't.
As has been suggested, your only other alternative is to buy a bigger screen.
Try holding down the Control key while pressing + or -
