each time i load my camera with new batteries ;; the battery empty sign keeps coming on .CAN ANY ONE HELP ME PLEASE thank you,,,

Daft question, I know, but are you sure you are inserting the batteries the right way round? One should go in with the +ve (raised) terminal at the top and the other one the other way round. There should be little pictures on the battery compartment cover to help.

I had a similar problem a few years ago with a Fuji Finepix camera, I took it into Jessops to see if they could look at it and despite telling them I had new batteries in there, they put some in and it worked! their batteries were lithium whereas I had just been using normal alkaline? batteries and the camera had worked perfectly well for years. I bought some lithium batteries and the camera is still going strong although has since been shelved in favour of a newer model.
Hi, as Jules says you could be using the wrong type of batteries. My son had new camera for christmas and on the instructions it says not to use Duracell batteries as camera will not work with them but it will with energiser. We tried both and it doesn't work with duracell so there must be some difference.
