Wifi printers

Just purchased Epson Sx515e printer. Have linked the printer to the PC and it works perfectly by cable.
However whenever I try to wifi printer to the pc I cannot get the PC and Printer to speak to each.
Does anyone know whether there is ablock in the windows vista operating system which prevents the connection. I seem to remember that using Java I had to unblock something!
