Following anstwyg's question about the virus that kept coming back, how can we be sure that Antivirus and Antispyware are beinf removed from our systems? Are the 100% reliable?

Depends whether you try to save money by using free software like Spybot, CW Shredder, Ad-Aware, etc instead of paying a few quid for McAfee, Norton, Pest Patrol, etc. You get what you pay for.
