mobile phone code to Australia.

I wish to send a text to a mobile in Australia from the UK.
Never had problems before but can anyone tell me what exactly to key in.

number in OZ is 0547546???

I know I ned to omit 1st 0 and previously I have used 0061 and then the number so having it as 13 digits.
Am now told only use 61.

Mystery also is that can't send reply text on friends message which I thought would work anyway as not a new message created.If anyone can tell me exactly that would be wonderful....Thanks so much!

Some mobiles are different in how you set up a foreign number. Try either of the following:

+61547............
or
0061547....

My phone will only accept foreign numbers using the + sign instead of 00. This is so that it can be used in any country, as the dialling code to get out of your country can vary (for example to dial out of The USA you must dial 011)

sorry, if that doesnt work, dont drop the 0 from the mobile number - again that varies from country to country as to whether you keep it or no :-)
