The Big CB Slowdown

Prior to the 'banning spree' a few weeks ago, one could regularly expect 30, 40 or even more posts in ChatterBank during a 24-hour day.

Now it is merely a trickle. For instance, today there have been only 15 (including this one). Additionally, since 12 noon today, there have been just five posts.

Is this due to a mass exodus of former regulars? Or were the contributions of the controversial users quietly welcomed? Or have the regulars merely decided that the powers that be are slowly stifling the site?

Whatever the answer, ChatterBank no longer appears to be the bubbly, overt, banter forum for which it was renowned.

Is this watered-down 'fluffy' site the benchmark for the new version currently being puffed up by the Spare Ed on his daily sojourns?

how many of the 30 or 40 threads a day were just drivel? Trolls looking to create a stir.

The role of the Answerbank isnt to provide a forum for chatter, its a Q and A site and contributers have been given a place to post day to day chat. If its removed its removed, its not a required part of the site. Though i would be sad to see it go, Im glad to see some of rubbish removed.#

I think it's gone 'flat' in CB although I have been involved in other topics.
I don't know why......it may be because certain users have been banned, it may be that some people are on holiday, but it certainly doesn't seem the same as usual to me.
I've joined another couple of sites this week to see how they go.

Good point redcrx, however my 30 or 40 quote was taken from checking back three weeks where the threads are still available to view. So perhaps they were not trolls' contributions - as there are no 'greenies' amongst them.

Also, I did not mention AnswerBank which is indeed a Q & A category. You willnote that my reference was to ChatterBank which by virtue of its name is defnitely a Chat category.

Funny that lil I posted almost the same question as you on here last night and guess what the dep ed banned it and me and then came on later bragging that he has banned a few green trolls earlier.

Then people said in that thread that they had not seen any green trolls.

So when is the dep ed going to see that the real trolls that are on here are the likes of whiffey, newsdesk and noway

I am simply not arsed with CB at the moment it's half full of people I have no interest in chatting with , I make myself busy elsewhere and I know none would actually miss me anyway as they are all too much into their imaginary world on CB.

It has been dull, but then again when there is no "heated" debate there is no spark. debate can be had without abuse. the weekend abuse is glady not missed by anyone, but I think the site still needs a mixture of different characters.
