Does anyone know of any CD burning software that lets you sort mp3 files by the original track number?

(without putting 001, 002 etc at the start of the file name).

Nero 9 only lets you sort on file name or size.

CDBurnerXP does similar but not on track number.

nope!

MP3's are files, they will always be burnt onto a cd in alphabetical order of the file name, you can change the way you view the files by sorting them using the file information but this doesn't include the track number, just date and size.

if you want MP3's on a cd to appear in a set order you need to put the number on the front, I have set my CD ripping software to always include the track number as the first part of the file name when I rip an album as this helps to ensure they are always in the correct order what ever they are played on. (this works for full albums only)

if you are trying to get a full various songs MP3 cd to always play in a certain order then you will either have to rename all files with a number at the front or create a playlist in the order you want them played.
