Can anyone recommend any good, straightforward DVD burning software. I have a DVD rewriter on my laptop and all I want to do is copy a DVD and burn a copy. Also how long approx. does it take to copy a DVD? Thanks!

Roxio make good DVD/CD burning software. I would stay clear of Nero; it installes a lot of usless applications and mucks up your file associations.
If you're talking about 'backing up' copies of your bought DVDs, then you may need something cleverer. Quite a good combination is AnyDVD to rip it initially, then dump it on a disc with CloneDVD. There are plenty of other programs that do these jobs but recently I have found this combination copes pretty well with most or the newer discs.
