how do you download stuff from bit torrent??? do you need something(another programme) to run alongside it

firstly you need to download and install bittorrent.
then go to a website like.
www.btjunkie.com
www.isohunt.com
www.torrentportal.com

search for what you are looking for click on download and it should start dowloading on your bittorrent programme.

You need a BitTorrent client - it's the program that does the downloading. uTorrent is simple and easy to use.

I hope you're not going to do anything naughty and download films and music from PirateBay.

Generally speaking, viruses are programs and need you to install them. Keep your anti-virus software up to date and scan regularly.

Downloading data, such as music and video, shouldn't pose a problem. Installing downloaded games or software - they're programs - is at your own risk. With video, if you're invited to install a codec - don't do it cos that's a program.
