when i first got my laptop I have a mini window thing to right which displayed news (when i was logged on) you could right notes and view pics on a slideshow

I have somehow made it disapear! how do i get it back??

Is there a little cross at the top right of your desktop (or a button)? On mine this opens a gadgets window when you click it and can then view news, clock,weather etc.

If not, I'd say look in your control panel

in Control Panel, look in Appearance and Personalisation, and Windows sidebar is at the bottom of list (in Vista). It has options to add to sidebar.

Hopefully you can find what you're looking for there
