When I try to access Task Manager I get the message "taskmgr.exe - Unable to Locate Component. This application has failed to start because VDMDBG.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem".

I presumed that I would be able to re-install from my Windows XP disc, but the computer refuses to accept it because the disc pre-dates the system I now run. I think that XP SP3 causes this.

Does anyone know how I can restore my Task Manager? I've tried System Restore but that doesn't work.
