Patch package??

I've just tried to install Acobat Pro. 6 and after a few seconds I'm getting an alert message on screen to the effect"This patch package could not be opened.etc.etc."
How do I overcome this and re-install Acrobat??

Any help ,PLEASE!!!

in what - which version of windows
6 isn' compatible with vista - requires a paid update
