When I click the FILE button, a list of 8 items appears in the lower half of the panel.

How do I delete these items, as the "delete" option under EDIT is not available to select.

Thanks

Maybe you have to select the items first, then Delete should become available.
they are the recent files surely?

I don't think you can delete them, if you open more files then the ones there should be pushed from the bottom of the list... or....

you can disable the recent files altogether, BUT, it is a registry change, so be careful, and on your head be it if you get it wrong!

actually that link was to disable recent files in media player, not real player.

Oppps, sorry :)

I've not got real player here, but there might be a setting in the options somewhere about the amount of recent files stored, set it to 0 if there is.
Click Tools > Preferences. Under the General section click the Clear History button.
