Can't type @ n the keyboard

On a pc keybourd at work. The previous keyboard was fine, and I have all my other profile preferences working well.
What should I do?

You've got the regional settings for the keyboard set to English US not English GB.

sg - You're probably in Europe, and the default install for Windows is US standard, so you will need to go into your Control Panel, and Regional Settings and change it to your Region. On the Input Locale tab, you can change the Keyboard language to the one you want to use.

Go to you START, CONTROL PANEL, REGIONAL & LANGUAGE SETTINGS, LANGUAGES, DETAILS and make sure everything is set to English UK.
