Logging off

I used to be able to just hit the Windows start key and then the U key and then U key again and that would swich the computer off!!
Now I have to use my mouse and get a silly Microsoft box asking me what I want to do; how do I get back to the old procedure??
Any help, please.

Control Panel
User Accounts
Change the way users log on or off
Uncheck the option "Use the welcome screen"
Apply Options

or for an even quicker and easier way to switch off your computer just briefly press the power button and it will shut it down.
