'Send page by email' link disappeared & Erratic behaviour

in the last week the option to 'send page by email' or 'send link by email' have disappeared. I think this is to do with some automatic updates. Also my computer behaved erratically a couple of days ago, typing backwards and changing through options automatically without giving me an option to close windows etc. Eventually all seemed to right itself but I'm worried that my system may have been infiltrated despite my Eset security finding no problems. Any thoughts on this?
