It is a Canon DC311 DVD Camcorder.

Whats wrong with it ? - the reason I ask is - mine packed upon xmas day and was found to have a faulty CCD chip that sony repaired free of charge due to the fact it was from a faulty batch of chips installed in them and machines from other manaufacturers.

Oh right, well basically the disk that is in the camcorder is not being recognized, therefore i am unable to open the electric disk cover. All i want to do is take the disk out and replace it!
