It's recession time, I need to shift to machine translation rather than manual translation as hiring or even maintaining my present staff of translators seems like additional expenses. Are there any reliable translating software that translate accurately.

I'd be interested to know if anyone thinks there is reliable software. My experience of machine translating is that it is poor and in some cases downright dangerous.

Sorry, have I been naive? - haven't seen the question/questioner before. My answer was in good faith - all the machine translation I have seen has been utter rubbish.

Unforunately, technical translators are able to set their fees quite high because language is not translatable as a simple or even complex equation. It also requires in-depth cultural knowledge and the ability to read 'between the lines' to translate well.
