my toshiba rdxv47 plays some dvds with sound but no picture

Are the dvds the correct region?

they are region 2 and it plays other dvds ok but some just sound no picture, its meant to be multi regional player anyway

...are you saying that the ones that don't play properly, are not region 2?

some region 2 it plays fine, others it just plays sound with no picture they still region 2. its baffling me

are they all PAL disks?

Some region 2 disks are NTSC and they won't always play on UK DVD players (or TV's)

I've just read up a little on this unit..............looks like it's a good one alright..................if the DVDs play ok on other machines, then I can only think the unit is faulty.... :o(

have just checked the ones that play and the ones that dont, and :( they are all PAL, stupid machine :(
