I have run my setup disc for my canon scanner on my new computer (Vista) but when I try to use the scanner I get the message 'There is no application registered for this event' What does this mean and how can I get the scanner to work? I don't know much about computers so please try to solve this problem for me in simple terms.
Thankyou for any help you can give.

A Canon CanoscanLIDE20
This worked OK on XP
Try downloading the latest drivers and software and see if that helps.

at least one bit of the software is listed as being vista only so that may make a difference

...........and, as well as Chuck's suggestion, have you restarted your PC after running the Setup?

Thanks to you all for your advice.
Still doesn't work on the buttons of the scanner but I can access and scan via my arcsoft photo programme so this will be OK
Thanks again
