i-tunes 8 help , is it gonna catch me out?

I recently bought my laptop off of my younger brother and found that he had downloaded (stolen) music off of limewire , with the new i-tunes you can get your album artwork off of apple but in doing so it can access your music information , does this mean they will know and subsequently investigate me for illegal downloads?

The music could have been put on the laptop quite legitimately by ripping them from CD's
